Welcome to the serenity of The Sanctuary at OBX – a modern 6-bedroom vacation rental located in the heart of Corolla's Whalehead Beach Neighborhood. While you'll enjoy the central location - just 1.5 miles north of the Timbuck II and Monterey Plaza shopping centers, and 2 miles south of Historic Corolla Park and Lighthouse - the large wooded lot offers a uniquely secluded feeling that is uncommon on the Northern Beaches. Looking for excitement? Corolla Watersports, Corolla Adventure Park, and the 4x4 beach are all just few minutes drive away, making this a great homebase for adventure enthusiasts.

An elevated coastal chic ambience invites you to explore each level. At the top, you'll find a series of spaces for the family to spread out: an open kitchen with marble countertops, a bar, and plenty of cabinetry, a dining room for everyone to gather in at supper, a living room with a large U-shaped sectional sofa and additional dinner seating, a den with deck access, and a bedroom with 2 twins.
The mid-level boasts three king bedrooms and one queen - all with an en suite bathroom and beautiful tile shower - and a screened-in porch and open deck to savor the ocean breeze. The ground-level has everything needed to keep kids and teens occupied: a kitchenette, couch and small dining table with banquette seating, multiple TVs (including gaming chairs), and a pool table!

A multi-level wraparound deck makes it easy to enjoy the outdoors, with the hedge of trees offering privacy, whether enjoying an afternoon read and laying out out by the heated private pool. Relax in the hot tub, or underneath the shaded cabana if you'd prefer to cool off. The grilling area is right outside the pool fence, so bringing burgers and hot dogs to the pool deck is only a few steps away – and the open yard on the side of the house gives Fido plenty of space to play, too!

Additional Amenity Details: Private Pools are open starting the first weekend in May through the second weekend in October. Pool heat is an available option at this property, for a fee of $400 plus tax. Pets are not allowed in pools under any circumstances. An additional fee will be charged to the leaseholder for the chemical balance, cleaning, or damage that would cause the replacement of a vinyl pool liner. Hot tubs are available year-round.


All Outer Banks Blue vacation rentals include bed linens, with beds made prior to your arrival for convenience. We provide 1 bath towel and washcloth per advertised occupant, and 1 hand towel and 1 bar of soap per sink. Kitchens include drying towels. We also provide a starter supply of paper towels, dishwashing detergent, and toilet paper.
