Sail away to "Almost Heaven", a charming cottage just across the street from the Atlantic nestled in on Myrtle Avenue. This pet-friendly single-family home has everything you need to make you feel at home on the island. While the cottage is a Kure Beach classic, "Almost Heaven" features updated furniture and appliances mixed in with antique charms and a cozy feel that will make it tough to admit that your vacation will ever come to an end.
Relax in the shade on the screened-in front porch and wave at the folks strolling by, or take in some sun and a little more privacy in the fenced in back yard. Inside the home, the living room leads to the open dining and kitchen area. The front bedroom has a Full bed and shares a short hall with a bunk bedroom (Twin over Full bed) and a full bathroom. The primary bedroom has a Full bed and a sliding glass door leading to the back yard, and the bathroom features a large walk-in shower with beautiful custom tile work. This is a clean, classic, and comfy little cottage that will be sure to bring you back year over year.
The owner supplies a storage box on the deck which includes a beach wagon to help tote items to and from the beach, beach chairs, frisbees, a set of paddles and a boogie board for guests to enjoy during their stay and store any personal equipment! By walking just a short bit, you have both Carolina and Kure Beach accesses points available!
Also while in the area, be sure to check out the Carolina Beach Boardwalk, where you will find shops, restaurants and the summer activities such as fireworks, carnival rides and live music. Watch the fishermen come in with the catch of the day at the marina or dine out with the family. For bites, there is Uncle Vinny's Pizzeria and Ristorante, Carolina Smokehouse, Shuckin' Shack and Malama Café. For dessert, there is Britt's Donuts, Latella Gelato, and Squigley's Ice Cream. If you are looking to extend your night, nightlife happens at Hurricane Alleys, Buzz's Roost and the Fat Pelican. Make plans today to stay in beautiful Kure Beach!
