Avalon offers all the comforts of home and even more. There is an oceanfront covered porch on the first level and an oceanfront sun-deck on the second level. There is a sound side deck, on the second level, where you can sit back and soak up the last rays of day as the sun sets behind the sound. These outdoor living areas are furnished with a picnic table for dining, rockers, a hammock, porch swing, and some built in seating. There is even a gas grill ready to cook up your catch of the day!

Ground Level: The curb appeal is unmistakable. A cute little yard bordered with lively evergreens, coastal grasses and shrubs, and a poster fence welcome your family with a park-like atmosphere. There is parking for up to 4 vehicles and a garage, offering a convenient wet weather entrance.

First Level: Enter the open living area, comfortably furnished and adorned with gleaming views of the sea. The living room has a neutral striped Sofa and matching Loveseat. A long coffee table is prepared for you to rest your cold drink, while you sit back and relax. There is a 46" large screen LCD with HDTV programming, VCR, DVD player 6 CD changer stereo, all for your entertainment. A few board games are stored in the hutch and there are extra chairs around for additional seating.

The open kitchen allows the cook to prepare meals without missing any of the action. The amenities include a refrigerator with in-door icemaker, smooth surface stove, built-in microwave, blender, coffee maker, and an additional prep area with quick-rinse sink. This kitchen will accommodate the finest gourmet chef as well as the amateur cook. The breakfast bar wraps around the kitchen and offers three chairs and two stools.

The dining room offers an oblong table for six that sits beneath a wrought iron chandelier. The horizon is a perfect appetizer to all your meals at Avalon. A very special hi-chair provides even the baby vacationer with a place to enjoy a bite or two.

Sliding glass doors lead you to a covered oceanfront porch. A set of stairs descend to a grand boardwalk grazing above the grassy dune. Front row views of the ships gliding across the Atlantic are found at the seating area. A few more steps down and your toes are tickled by the sugar sand beach. Back on the covered porch, you will find a picnic table, hammock, and built-in seating. Around the corner of the deck is a privately enclosed outdoor shower offering hot and cold water for your comfort. Rinse off the heat of the day and step into the side entrance of the home, where you will find a bathroom and full size washer and dryer.

Near this side entrance of the home, on the first level is an oceanfront bedroom. A set of bunk beds provide a great place to doze. Let the tide song drift you into dreamland. Or entertain yourself with the TV, DVD player, Ninendo 64 game system, all housed in the armoire. Maybe you'll go surfing on your laptop, internet access is available at Avalon.

Second Level: The carpeted stairs, leading to the Second Level, are brightened by a large picture window. Ascend the stairs and to the right you will find access to a second level sound-side deck. Hideaway and watch the blazing sun set. Settle into a lounge-chair and read the best-seller you haven't had time for lately. All three bedrooms, on the Second Level, offer sliding glass doors accessing the oceanfront sun-deck, with built in seating. These doors have simple curtains to provide you some shade and the windows have new blinds for your privacy and comfort. Step out onto the deck and with a birds' eye view of the shoreline, you may get a glimpse of some dolphins playing.

The master bedroom offers a Queen bed, dressed in a pretty khaki and blue striped comforter set. The shells patterned about in this room are celebrations of the beach, just outside your windows. Laze around and enjoy the 26" flat LCD TV/DVD. Open the sliding door and let the sea breeze soothe you. The large private master bath is a great retreat for you to ease into your day or drift into your night.

The second and third bedrooms upstairs, both offer a Queen bed. These two rooms share a bathroom, accessible in the hallway. The second bedroom is covered in a palm tree and sailboat motif. There is ample room in the dresser and nightstand to store your favorite beachwear and essentials. The sliding glass door is softened with a light blue curtain. There is a closet across from the bedrooms, which store two roll-away beds. The third bedroom, adorned with a deep colored bedspread with sailboats is as comfortable as the second. A dresser with mirror and nightstand hold an alarm clock radio, TV, and VCR. You will find a baby crib in the closet, for the littlest guest and a white wicker rocker.

Avalon is a family friendly, home away from home. A smoke-free, kid friendly island paradise, Avalon welcomes you to Topsail Island with pleasure. Small pets, weighing less than 50lbs, are permitted and require a deposit. Linens are provided, and internet access is available. Your check-in location is Surf and your check-in time is 3:30pm unless you have purchased the early bird check-in option.
