This beautiful oceanfront home is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. A short drive north is the center of Surf City offering a bevy of restaurants, gift and beach shops, surfing, and more. Bike and kayak rentals are nearby for your own explorations of the island by land or sea. Topsail Beach, to the south, offers more shops, a local bookstore, and a chance to learn about our friends of the sea at The Turtle Hospital. Head north to Sneads Ferry and you will find personal watercraft or boat rentals and fresh local seafood. You can even enjoy a round of golf at a world-class golf course.

Sea and Me is a sun-filled home that looks out over the white sand beach and crystal blue ocean. The large oceanfront deck spans the width of the house and has a private beach access boardwalk. Head down to the beach and sink your toes in the sand. On the way back, rinse off your feet at the outdoor shower along the boardwalk. Sea and Me can accommodate 12 with 5 bedrooms and 3 baths.

The gravel drive has parking for 3 and the carports offer covered parking for 2. A hand painted wall mural depicts a calm beach scene with palm trees. Creative painting on support posts makes them appear to be dock pilings with birds resting atop them. A hose and a utility sink are available on the lower level as well as a gas grill.

Main Level:The great room has a cathedral ceiling with an open stairway to the upper level. Serene light sage green covers the walls. Two floors of windows highlight the expansive ocean views. Gazing out at this view, your worries slip away and your mind is at ease. The living room area has seating for everyone with one sofa, two loveseats, an ottoman, and two cushioned chairs. Gather around for some relaxed conversation, a friendly board game, or your favorite movie. The corner armoire holds a television, DVD, and VHS player. The cabinet below has a nice selection of board games.

Across the room, the rectangular glass top dining table seats 8 on white washed bamboo chairs with comfortable cushions. Ocean view dining is the order of the day, every day at Sea and Me. Large picture windows offer views of the ocean over the dunes of lush vegetation. Your own private island paradise is just outside.

The kitchen, open to the great room, has a raised breakfast bar with seating for 4. Deep green countertops and light finish wood cabinetry have clean simple lines. Light reflects off the mirrored backsplash. Appliances include a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, built-in microwave, double toaster, blender, and coffee maker. The cabinets are well stocked with dishware, glassware, and cookware. Enjoy music on the portable stereo while you prepare dinner. Blend a cool drink and take it out to the deck to enjoy the breeze. Listen to the waves rolling across the sand and watch the pelicans fly. There are also three bedrooms and a full bath on this level. The full bath is just down the hall and is a combination bathroom and laundry area. A stackable washer and dryer are neatly tucked in the corner with a white drying rack installed on the opposite wall. Soft khaki walls are complimented by the white vanity cabinet. The tub/shower has glass doors with a frosted etching on each door depicting a graceful heron.

Bedroom 1:Two twin beds in white wicker sit on each side of a white wicker dresser and mirror. A matching chair is along the opposite wall. Custom striped floral bedspreads match the window treatment above the plantation blinds. This room is ideal for young visitors.

Bedroom 2:This bedroom offers a queen-size bed with a rattan headboard. A tall white dresser holds all your vacation beachwear. A desk along one wall has three chairs, a lamp, phone, and a clock.

Bedroom 3 Master Suite:The king size sleigh bed has a soft bisque finish. The deep burgundy floral comforter has coordinating striped throw pillows and topper curtains for a custom look. The dresser, mirror, and nightstand in a bisque wicker blend nicely. Perched on wicker shelves is a television in perfect view of the bed. The private bath has a window for natural light and a glass door shower.

Upper Level:Head up the open staircase to the top floor and enjoy ocean views all the way around. At the landing, you will find one bedroom door on each side.

Bedroom 4:This bedroom sleeps 3 with a queen size bed and one twin. A small dresser, two nightstands, and a woven rocking chair are neatly arranged throughout. On the ocean side, a window looks out over the great room and through the second story windows to view the ocean beyond. This bedroom has a private door to a shared full bath.

Bedroom 5:A queen size bed and an additional twin bed offer accommodations for 3 in this cheerful bedroom. The adjacent full bath is shared with bedroom 4. A long desk with a single chair looks out through the great room window enjoying the ocean views beyond. The slanted ceiling sports a painted mural made to look like an aqua and white striped awning. Below the awning, Circus animals roam the walls, also expertly painted. A scalloped window treatment matches the painted awning adding to the theme. What a delightful room for younger vacationers. With views of the adults in the great room below, this room feels like a cool seashore tree house. Your children will love it.
