Flamingo Palace is close to the heart of Surf City yet far from the busy traffic. Venture a few minutes down the road and find casual and fine dining restaurants, gift and beach shops, groceries, bike rentals, and so much more. Fresh local seafood is available for purchase at seafood markets or catch your own dinner at the Surf City Pier. Head north to Sneads Ferry for boat and watercraft rentals or a round of world-class golf. A short drive south to Topsail Beach offers even more restaurants and shops, including a local bookstore for a new summer read.

Flamingo Palace has accommodations for 4 with 2 bedrooms and 1 ½ baths. Just a short walk to the beach, the public beach access is right at the end of New Bern Ave.

This cheerful cottage has two palm trees in the front yard and a gravel driveway with parking for 3. The bright flamingo pink exterior is accented by green island shutters over each window. The front deck has built-in benches along the perimeter and two additional Adirondack chairs in which to enjoy the salty breeze off the ocean. The grass back yard has plenty of room for a pick-up game of paddleball or a cookout on the charcoal grill. Built-in benches run along a small concrete patio. Grab a chair from the attached storage area and head to the beach. When you return, dry your wet beach towels on the clothesline and rinse off in the enclosed outdoor shower. This deluxe shower has a bench, hooks, and a large rain showerhead.

The playful interior automatically sets your mind to vacation mode. The colorful wall art and pictures of palm trees, flamingoes, fish, and beach scenes go perfectly with the pink sofa and the retro green stuffed chair. An armoire on the far end of the living room holds a television, DVD, and VHS player. Choose from the board games and movies in the cabinet below for a fun time with family and friends. Hand painted end tables, a coffee table, and cushioned chairs complete the cozy gathering place.

The wooden dining table has seating for 6 on 2 chairs and 2 long benches. A Flamingo Motel wall clock hangs above and a traditional pink flamingo stands guard in the corner.Beautiful hardwood floors are throughout the living area and extend into the bedrooms.

The kitchen is white with bright flamingo and fish accents. Bold striped scatter rugs break up the lines of the hardwood floor. Appliances include a refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster oven, blender, and coffee maker. The atomic clock ensures that you always have the correct time. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware including a stockpot for the ever popular steamed oysters. The cabinets hold a nice selection of dishes. White porcelain dinnerware is elegant for an evening at home and colorful plastic dishware is great for the outdoor get together. A tall red drink cooler on wheels is tucked away in the back for your next gathering. Fill it with ice and drinks for cold refreshments all night. Let the party begin.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a half bath with a stackable washer and dryer. Off the dining room is the full bath with a flamingo shower curtain over the tub and shower.

Bedroom 1:This bedroom offers a double bed with a soft white chenille bedspread. A tall white armoire stands next to a chest of drawers providing plenty of storage for your wardrobe. Bright accents add splashes of color throughout the room. Hawaiian grass curtains wave in the breeze of the overhead fan. A hand painted nightstand holds a stereo CD player above and a small library of books underneath.

Bedroom 2:The second bedroom has 2 twin beds with white headboards and white woven bedspreads. The hand painted nightstand holds a clock radio and lamp. Colorful scatter rugs brighten the hardwood floor. A director's chair sits next to a large white armoire. This cozy room is perfect for younger vacationers or visiting friends. The living room sleep sofa accommodates 2 more with blankets stored in the armoire.

Flamingo Palace is the place to be this vacation. Wake to gentle sea breezes and stroll down to the beach for an early morning walk. Spend your days soaking up the sun and fall asleep to the soft sounds of the ocean. The trouble is: you may never want to leave.Your check-in location is our Surf City office. Linens are not provided. Pets are not permitted. Smoking is not permitted in the property. Maximum occupancy is 4 at any time. Your check-in time is 3:30 pm unless you have confirmed and paid the early bird check-in option. Please be sure we have received complete payment within 30 days of your arrival to avoid cancellation.
