We named our beach house “The Flip Flop Tiki Hut” because we want everyone who visits to be on “Flip Flop Time” and enjoy island living.
“The Flip Flop Tiki Hut” is a fun oceanfront beach house professionally decorated with the hottest new fabrics, furniture, and great colors to really get the feeling of island life! You will feel like you are in the tropics.
Our island get-away is brand new built in ’05. This is the 1st rental season so everything is brand new. It is located South of the light in Surf City, which has long been one of the most desired spot on Topsail Island. There is a lot more for families to do, close to shopping, amusements, marinas, piers, and parks.
This beautiful oceanfront home features an outdoor enclosed hot and cold shower, a private walkway to the beach, and a large hammock to make your stay fun and relaxing. With a fantastic panoramic view of the ocean this home has all the amenities to fill your vacation with memories that will last a lifetime. You and your family & friends can sit on one of the four furnished decks and enjoy this island oasis.
Inside “The Flip Flop Tiki Hut” you can watch television on any one of the 6 TV’s, or watch a movie in the Family Room and the kids can watch their own movie on a 27’’ T.V. with a DVD/VCR combo in the bunk bed room we named, “The Surf Shack”.
The inviting Family Room offers breathtaking views of the ocean and sunrise. Here you can relax and sink into brand new and comfortable furniture while you watch your favorite movie or show on a 37” flat screen plasma television that includes all premium channels including HBO, Cinemax, and The Movie Channel. This also includes a DVD player. The Family Room also has a fireplace (for off seasons), queen sleeper sofa, and a ceiling fan. There is a huge furnished deck off the Family Room where you can watch the sunrise, ocean, and people walking by. There is also a gas grill you can use.
The Family Room is open to the Kitchen and Dining Room. This way the chef is able to enjoy the views in every direction, as well as, still being connected to the family room activities.
The Kitchen is equipped with all stainless steel appliances and a ton of cabinet space. There is a handy eating bar for a couple of people to have a beverage or meal while visiting with the cook. From the Kitchen and Dining Room is the picturesque view of the ocean. The Kitchen is well stocked with the best and brand new cookware, pots & pans, coffeemaker, blender, food processor, mixer, kitchen tools, measuring cups, and much more.
The large brand new cottage style dining room table seats 8 and there are 2 extra seats at the handy eating bar.
Off of this main living area is a hallway (which can be closed off from the L.R., D.R., and Kitchen) that leads to one of the 5 bedrooms. This Bedroom is named The Bermuda Room. The Bermuda Room’s bedding can be described as an exotic paradise. The sophisticated shades of cranberry, olive, and rattan add a sultry twist to this classic tropical print. A scattering of orchids, hibiscus, and ferns graces the comforter, which is offset by the rustic basketweave print on the bedskirt. The rich weathered black furniture adds further sophistication to this beautiful bedroom that has it’s own furnished private deck, spacious closet, and ceiling fan.
Across the hall is one of the 4 Full Bathrooms that are decorated in “Flip Flop Tiki Hut” style. The carefree shower curtain is crafted of a canvas beach bag fabric featuring embroidered surf shacks, palm trees, drying Hawaiian shirts, beach chairs, and more.
Also, on this hallway is more storage space in a hall closet with lots of shelving for anything.
On the 1st Floor there are 3 of the 5 Bedrooms. Let’s start in the Master Suite we call “Isle of Palms”. This room is spacious, beautiful, and has a luxurious warm feeling. The bedding has an island theme with palm trees. The colors are earth-tone green and gold with a botanical pattern. This bedroom is like a tropical getaway. The walk-in closet is huge. The Master Bath is beautifully decorated with a beach inspired look of hammocks and palm trees. The Master Suite has it’s own private cozy deck. On this peaceful deck you can take a little snooze in the large hammock while listening to the ocean waves. The Master has it’s own T.V., DVD player, and ceiling fan.
On this hallway is the Washer & Dryer. An iron and ironing board is also available. There is another storage closet with many shelves.
The next Bedroom we call ” Blue Lagoon” because of its décor. You can feel nature’s vitality in this room. This exotic floral bedding combines shades of Caribbean blue, calypso orchid, wild pear, and golden sunrise. You can step out of the sliding glass doors onto a large furnished deck and relax with family & friends! This room has it’s own television, spacious closet, and ceiling fan.
Adjacent to the ” Blue Lagoon” is another bedroom we call “The Aruba Room”. This room is awesome! The walls are a gorgeous tropical aqua blue that coordinates with the spectacular bedding that is Wasabi lime green, aqua blue, pink and yellow. This cottage style room has a walk-in closet, T.V., and ceiling fan.
There is a bathroom on this hallway that will make you feel like you are on vacation every time you step out of the shower. The fabric shower curtain looks like a grass skirt with Hawaiian flowers draped across the top. This bathroom also has a spacious linen closet.
On the top floor is the huge loft and 5th Bedroom. We named this bedroom “The Surf Shack”. It has 2 sets of bunk beds. The bedding is lime green and blue with palm trees and a surfin’ monkey. The kids can watch their own T.V. with a DVD/VCR combo. “The Surf Shack” also has it’s own bathroom. This bathroom is decorated with a beach theme of flip flops and sand buckets.
All King and Queen mattresses have brand new Serta pillowtop mattresses to make your stay comfortable. We also have high speed Internet access.
Come and see this beautifully decorated home for yourself! You will not believe the island feeling you will get from “The Flip Flop Tiki Hut” until you experience it for yourself! Once you do you will not want to leave. Happy Island Vacationing and Enjoy!
