The Bashful Turtle has two wonderful oceanfront decks filled with great furniture and beach chairs. The decks are gated, to keep children and pets in eye distance. The upper deck offers a great area for lying out in the warm Carolina sun. The lower deck is a shaded paradise complete with a picnic table for having true oceanfront meals. A hot and cold outdoor shower is located on the walkway to the beach.

Ground Level: Parking for 4-5 vehicles. The stairs to the right lead you to the oceanfront deck, while the front door steps are on the left.

First Level: The first thing you'll discover in the Bashful Turtle is the newly laid tile flooring that fills the entire home. This is sure to keep your feet cool during the hot summer. The next feature you'll love is that all the bedrooms are oceanfront and every room has access to a deck.

The first bedroom is filled with sun-drenched yellow walls. This room is perfect as the "girls" room with the twin double bunk and twin beds with matching teal and lime green comforters. The room also has a TV with DVD player and sliding glass doors that lead to the lower oceanfront deck.

The second bedroom is perfect for the boys. Filled with yellow walls, the twin double bunk bed and twin bed is covered with matching blue racecar comforters. This room also has a TV with DVD player and sliding glass doors that lead to the covered oceanfront deck.

These two bedrooms share a bathroom, accessed through the hallway. Also located in a closet in the hallway you'll find a stacked washer and dryer.

The third bedroom, is the master bedroom. The walls are painted a relaxing blue, reminding you, you're on vacation. The room offers a king size bed, TV with VCR, DVD player and wireless internet (for the workaholics), ceiling fan and a pac-n-play can be found in the closet. The sliding glass doors lead you out to the lower oceanfront deck. A private bathroom is attached on the sound side of the room.

Second Level: The sand colored tile floor continues on the second level of the Bashful Turtle. On this level you'll find the oceanfront living, dining and kitchen areas. The second level is filled with clear oceanfront windows, allowing the views of the Island to be seen from every angle. Sliding glass doors lead you to the upper oceanfront deck. The deck is secured with a gate, allowing you to feel assured that your children and the dogs won't travel too far.

The living room has lemon yellow walls, which are the perfect compliment to the midnight blue reclining leather sofa and a matching recliner. Picture yourself kicking your feet up while you lounge back and listen to the waves roll up onto the sand and drift asleep. What could be better than an afternoon oceanfront nap in a comfortable recliner? The living room also has a large TV with a VCR, DVD player and plenty of movies to watch in the evenings.

The oceanfront dining room has an oak rectangular table with 6 matching chairs. Gather the family together for a clambake or fresh fried fish. A hi-chair is also available for those smaller vacationers.

The kitchen sits on the sound side of the home, but the open plan offers great ocean views. The kitchen has light colored wood cabinets, a refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, built-in microwave, blender, coffee maker and toaster. Four stools sit at the bar, for additional seating, or spread out the newspaper and sip on coffee in the morning.

The fourth bedroom is located on the north side of the home. Filled with sunny yellow and vibrant purple walls, this room has as much character as the rest of the house. The room has a queen size bed, covered in a purple floral comforter, TV with a DVD player, ceiling fan and the bedside tables are filled with paperbacks. A sliding glass door leads you out the open oceanfront deck. A bathroom is located right outside, easily accessible to guests staying in this room.
